First Choice Imaging offers state of the art 3D/4D ultrasound exams. Our live imaging allows expectant parents to see what their baby is going to look like long before he or she is born. You’ll see your baby stretching, sucking, blinking, kicking and more.

How much does elective prenatal imaging cost?

 

Elective prenatal imaging sessions start at $75 for 3D only. Please see price list and options here. (Please call for pricing on all other ultrasound services)

 

Client will receive:

  • One CD with three or more live action 4D clips
  • Two live-action 2D clips
  • A minimum of five 3D still images
  • Ten black and white images with a combination of 3D and 2D images
  • Determination of the baby’s sex per client's discretion

 

Our experienced technologist will be able to determine if there is enough fluid in the first five minutes of your session. If there is not enough fluid and you can:

  • Cancel the session, no photos will be taken.
  • Do a 2D session which includes a CD of three 2D movie clips and a minimum of ten still images for $90.

 

First Choice Imaging will accept cash or credit card. Payment is due the day of your appointment. We will meet any advertised price or coupon.

When do I schedule an elective prenatal scan?

 

The best time to schedule an entertainment ultrasound is between 27-29 weeks. Please call in advance to assure you are scheduled within the timeframe.

 

Do I need a doctor's order?

 

No, this is an elective way to see the baby before birth. The session is not covered by insurance and it does not take the place of the diagnostic exam ordered by the OB/GYN/health care provider.

 

How accurate is ultrasound at determining the baby's sex?

 

At 16 weeks and older, ultrasound is approximately 89-99% accurate in determining fetal gender.

 

Pre-session tips and tricks you can do to get better pictures of the baby :

  • Drink plenty of water for three days prior to the appointment so you are well hydrated.
  • Have something to eat right before your appointment to try and increase baby’s activity for your session.

 

How long does an elective prenatal session take?

 

Elective prenatal imaging sessions take 30 minutes.

 

Who can come with me to my prenatal imaging session?

 

We are family friendly so please bring your family members and children to the session.

 

Is this safe for baby?

 

Yes. Ultrasound has been used for 30 years to image the soft tissue of the body including the developing fetus. There have been no studies’ proving harmful effects caused by routine ultrasound.

 

Who will perform the ultrasound?

 

At First Choice Imaging, your elective prenatal ultrasound will be performed by a registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer specializing in obstetric ultrasound.
